The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals on May 18, 2026 in the case of Christian v. James ruled unconstitutional a New York statute which prohibited anyone with a concealed carry permit from carrying their firearm in any business or other private location unless they posted a notice allowing fi****ms to be carried on premises. The decision by a 2-1 majority affirmed New York's restriction to carry a firearm in a public park as a "sensitive location" with the dissent voting to also strike down that provision as violating the 2nd Amendment. Here attached is the 68 pages of majority and dissenting opinions. https://assets.nationbuilder.com/fi****mspolicycoalition/pages/6597/attachments/original/1779111420/2026.05.18_072-1_OPINION.pdf?1779111420
