🚨 STOP: Is your Instagram set to Private? Read this. 🚨

If you have a visa interview in 2026, your “Private” account might be the reason for your next delay. Under Executive Order 14161 and the March 30th expansion, the Department of State has officially moved to a “Public by Default” policy for social media vetting.

What does this mean for YOU?

Consular officers are now conducting “Online Presence Reviews” for almost every category—including H-1B, F-1, K-1 (Fiancé), and even U-Visas. If they can’t see your profile, they may flag your case, citing a lack of transparency.

3 Things You Must Do Now:

1️⃣ Flip the Switch: Set all profiles (IG, TikTok, X, LinkedIn) to PUBLIC at least 2 weeks before your interview.
2️⃣ The 5-Year Rule: You must disclose EVERY handle you’ve used in the last 5 years on your DS-160. Yes, even the inactive ones.
3️⃣ Check your LinkedIn: Ensure your job titles match exactly what you told USCIS. Inconsistencies = Fraud Investigation.

⚠️ DO NOT delete your accounts. This is a major red flag that suggests you’re hiding something.

Petitioning for a Green Card but the income isn’t quite there? 📄
The I-864 or Affidavit of Support is one of the main reasons people get RFEs or Requests for Evidence, causing their applications to be delayed.

You need to make sure you are making enough money, and you are proving that to USCIS. Sending them pics of your renovated house or your Rolex isn’t going to cut it.

Here’s a breakdown of who can help you, what they need to prove, and the 2026 requirements you need to know. Don’t let a paperwork hurdle stop your application!

Is the marriage green card actually harder in 2026? 🛑
It’s not your imagination - the government has made every step more difficult. More scrutiny, less forgiveness for mistakes.

While the laws haven’t changed, the enforcement has.
We are seeing:
✅ Mandatory in-person interviews (no more waivers!)
✅ Intense focus on joint financial history
✅ Stricter fraud detection and social media vetting

Don’t let a simple mistake turn into a denial. Preparation is your only shortcut this year. 📝✨

Couples are still getting approved every day, and our marriage cases are going faster than we have ever seen. Is it worth still applying? Absolutely! But you want to make sure you do it right the first time, because the stakes are higher than ever right now.

Did you submit yet?

Filing for a Marriage Green Card? Do NOT leave the U.S. until your Travel Document (Advance Parole) is approved.

Once you submit your adjustment of status application, you are “stuck” in the US until you get your advance parole or the green card. If you leave while the adjustment of status application is pending, your application will be considered abandoned. Plan your travel accordingly!

If you were married for less than 2 years at the time of your green card approval, you have a 2 year green card. To get the 10 year one, you have to do a process called Removal of Conditions and show USCIS your marriage is still valid and ongoing. (If you’re not married anymore - it’s still possible to do this!)
