⚖️ Progress Doesn’t Always End With a Signature.

Another day at the mediation table, and another opportunity to help parties navigate the dispute resolution process.

While reaching a settlement is often the objective, the value of mediation extends beyond a signed agreement.

Sometimes, parties narrow the issues in dispute. Sometimes, they gain a clearer understanding of their respective positions. And sometimes, simply hearing how the opposing party views the very same case opens the door to more productive discussions.

A meaningful mediation process isn’t defined solely by whether an agreement is signed.

As a neutral , my role is to facilitate dialogue, encourage thoughtful evaluation, and assist parties and their counsel in exploring opportunities for resolution.

Because progress in litigation can take many forms.

⚖️ Celebrating Alternative Dispute Resolution Week | October 11–17, 2026

The Florida Supreme Court has recognized this week as Alternative Dispute Resolution Week, highlighting the important role mediation and other forms of dispute resolution play in Florida’s justice system.

I recently had the privilege of serving as the neutral mediator in two separate civil matters, both of which concluded with agreements reached by the parties and their counsel.

These experiences are a reminder of why I believe so strongly in mediation: it provides an opportunity for parties to be heard, explore practical solutions, and resolve disputes without the uncertainty, expense, and delay of continued litigation.

Two mediations. Two resolutions. A meaningful reminder of the value of bringing people together at the mediation table.

Two Mediations. Two Resolutions. One Productive Week. And it’s not over yet!

This week, I had the privilege of serving as the neutral in two separate civil matters. Both mediations concluded with the parties reaching agreements.

As a practicing civil litigator and Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil and County Court Mediator, I bring my litigation experience to the mediation table—not as an advocate for either side, but as a neutral committed to helping parties evaluate their positions, explore practical solutions, and work toward meaningful resolution.

Every dispute is different. Every resolution belongs to the parties who achieve it.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve in that process.
