I asked my daughter two big questions during our home office Q&A:

1️⃣ What do you do if a judge asks a question you don't know the answer to?
Her take: "Sorry, Your Honor, but I have not gathered that information." (Owning it directly is always better than faking an answer!)

2️⃣ What makes an attorney convincing?
Her answer: Confidence. And you only get confidence through practice, practice, practice. 🎤✨

People picture the attorney as the person who shows up at the end to make it official. By then, most of the choices that actually shaped the case have already been made, sometimes by people whose job is not to look out for you. The early questions are the ones that matter. There is a quiet assumption that teenagers in the system have given up on the idea of a family, or would rather just age out. It is not true, and it costs kids the thing they need most. Permanency matters at every age. A seventeen year old deserves someone in their corner at graduation, at the first apartment, at the hard 2am phone call, the same as a toddler deserves a home.
