For seven months, our client—a devoted father—defended against a private dependency petition brought by the child’s grandparents alleging abuse, abandonment, and neglect. The case presented significant legal and factual issues, including what the defense maintained was an attempt to use dependency proceedings to pursue relief beyond Florida’s statutory provisions governing grandparents’ rights.
After a full day of trial, Attorney Floyd moved for judgment in her client’s favor. At a subsequent remote hearing, the Court GRANTED the motion, bringing the case to an end and delivering a hard-fought victory for our client.
