Courts are finally getting back to business, but they are going to be back--logged for years. If COVID has taught us anything, it has taught us to (1) adapt and (2) that government shut downs hurt everyone, except government employees :(

As for adapting to the times, we have had a great deal of success with remote arbitrations. Fast, fair results and funds in 30 days or less. The trick is knowing which arbitrator is right for a particular case.

Title 8, U.S.C. 1324(a) Offenses-Harboring -- Subsection 1324(a)(1)(A)(iii) makes it an offense for any person who -- knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation.

The Trust Act passed by the state does not supersede federal law. The only question is whether the US Attorney will enforce it as he obligated to do.

Schools are about to open. Drivers: Please be mindful of school zones and "distracted walking"!! School zones are designated safety zones for students, staff and parents. Often students will cross the street with their eyes glued to their phones. "Distracted Walking" accounts for more pedestrian injuries and death than you think. So, in addition to driving without distractions, please keep an extra sharp eye out for students who may be distracted by their phones.
