HOMEOWNERS! Do you have any projects you're thinking of doing but aren't sure if it's worth it? Or you just can't bring yourself to get started?

One challenging aspect of home ownership is keeping your home updated. The longer we own our home, the more accustomed we get to its characteristics. This can turn into "functional obsolescense" or an outdating for what the current buyer is looking for.

I hear all the time from buyers, "I'm simple, I don't need anything fancy!" - then at showings needing updates that same buyer passes due to too many projects, even if the house is well maintained. Of course, price can fix that but as a seller we want to maximize our investment!

You don't need to completely renovate your home all at once. Pick a project that will increase your enjoyment and pride in your home - AND increase a buyer's interest.

I just updated my guest bathroom, for under $5,000 including contractor fees. Winter is the perfect time to do small projects as many contractors have free time and like to work indoors. What are you waiting for?
