Whether you’re just starting out or leveling up, here’s what every Virginia notary should know: a Traditional Notary Public handles in-person, pen-and-paper notarizations, while an Electronic Notary Public ✍️💻 has the same authority but performs notarizations electronically.

One catch — you must hold a traditional commission before you can become an eNotary.
