Administrative/Personal Assistant:
Whether in person or over the phone, the Administrative Assistant is often the first to interact with clients and prospective clients. As a criminal defense firm, we often meet people at the low point in their life. It is important to remember that as we aim to provide help in a bad situation. We go above and beyond to provide the best representation possible while adding the personal touch of a small, family-run business.
Main roles of the Admin. Assistant include client greetings and interaction over the phone, in person, and via email. Respond to voicemails and message delivery. Schedule consultations for new clients, prepare client docs, file setup and maintenance. Manage/track case discovery and court dates. Communicate with courts and DA’s in multiple counties around the lake via phone, email, and fax. Manage attorney’s calendar. Various administrative tasks, document preparation, and court filings. Occasionally some personal tasks may be requested.
Must be ok with a dog in the office and may be asked to assist with a dog to prioritize the needs and comfort levels of certain clients.
The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and have an ability to take initiative, and prioritize daily tasks. A strong ability to take charge and meet tight deadlines will ensure your success in this multi-faceted role.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
