Gabris Law is proud to have helped another client find justice. The plaintiffs were seeking $120,000.00 plus attorneys fees relating to a commercial lease dispute.

The basis of the claim was that the defendants were short paying $700 per month for the past 8 years.

After the Plaintiffs presented their case to the jury and rested, Dan Gabris successfully argued a motion for directed verdict, resolving the case in the Defendants' favor and without his clients having to pay any money to the plaintiffs.

Our law firm is seeking an associate attorney to assist with our civil practice.

Our firm concentrates on litigation and trial work. The current case load for our civil division is approximately 40% real estate, 40% construction, and 20% personal injury.

Our firm also maintains a criminal law practice, specializing in trial work, predominantly DWIs, but also includes murders, assaults, and a variety of other serious criminal offenses. There is a strong possibility that the candidate would assist with preparation and arguing of some of the more complex criminal trials.

The firm is located in St. Louis, Missouri (near Westport Plaza).

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Learning the client intake process and intaking new clients
Preparation of contracts, pleadings, motions, demand letters, correspondence, memoranda, and other documentation related to civil litigation
Attending court appearances
Arguing motions and trials
1600 hour/year billable hour requirement

Compensation/Benefits:
Competitive salary ($50k-70k DOE), plus bonuses for clients originated and for hours billed in excess of minimum requirement

PART-TIME PARALEGAL/LEGAL ASSISTANT POSITION

Gabris Law, LLC has an opening for a Part-time Paralegal/Legal Assistant position beginning in January of 2021, or as soon as a qualified candidate is selected. We are seeking a candidate with zero to five years of legal experience to assist with litigation relating to real estate, construction, commercial/business transactions, and personal injury.

Job Responsibilities: Successful candidate will be responsible for preparing documentation related to representation of clients, communicating with clients regarding case updates and obtaining documentation, assisting attorneys with client intake, organizing and maintaining electronic client files, managing firm’s mailing, calendaring court dates, deadlines, and meetings, filing pleadings, motions, and other documentation with the court, and generally handling administrative tasks related to the operations of a law firm.

Schedule: Successful candidate will work between 20-30 hours per week. Work will be performed remotely with occasional office/staff meetings. May become a full-time position depending on desires of applicant and needs of the firm.

Compensation: $11-$15 per hour depending on experience

Despite the craziness that Covid has caused this year, there are a handful of Missouri courts that are still conducting trials.

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of representing a client seeking payment for money owed on a construction project.

After an intense and contentious trial, the court rendered a judgment in our favor, awarding the full amount of damages we were seeking, plus 18% interest and attorney's fees.
