Divorce Amlicably
We are a law firm dedicated to helping divorcing couples reach divorce agreements in a more peaceful way. We educate you on the different process options available in order to fit your needs. Most people do not need a nasty litigated divorce to resolve their divorce issues. We offer mediation services, collaborative divorce services or other legal services.
In mediation, we use a trained divorce mediator to work with both parties to reach an agreement, minimizing attorney and court costs. We provide an informal and private setting for couples to gather information, discuss their views and explore options to resolve their issues. We mediate simple and complex issues related to the dissolution of the couple’s relationship including, but not limited to: custody, parenting plans, child support, maintenance (alimony), marital property and debts, child support, allocation of equity in a marital home, allocation of retirement accounts and other securities, agreements around a family business, paternity issues, and post-divorce disputes.
In the collaborative process or a collaborative divorce, an experienced family law and divorce attorney will represent you in negotiating agreements with the other party's collaborative attorney. A collaborative divorce attorney is trained in conflict resolution and experienced in divorce matters. The goal in a collaborative divorce is to reach agreements that meet the needs of both parties and to stay away from fighting in court. The collaborative process is unique in that it is used by couples that wish to participate in a voluntary out-of-court process to resolve their differences that minimizes hostility and leads to better outcomes. Collaborative divorce is also a private and confidential process.
