The MICA Project is seeking volunteer attorneys to conduct intakes for immigrants detained by ICE. A training will take place via zoom on Wednesday, April 9, at 7 pm. The training will cover the basics of current ICE enforcement, immigration detention, and how to conduct an intake. Experience with immigration law is not required. Volunteers who speak Spanish are in high demand, but interpreters can be provided for those who do not speak Spanish, or if the detained individual speaks a different language. 1 hour of Missouri CLE credit will be provided.
