The Renew NC Single-Family Housing Program is a centralized housing rehabilitation, reconstruction or replacement program that will prioritize low-to-moderate income families with seniors aged 62 and older, children, and/or disabled household members impacted by Hurricane Helene. Check the website to see if you or someone you know is eligible. You can also apply by calling Renew NC at 1-888-791-0207 or emailing [email protected]. Translation services are available. If the application seems challenging, please stick with it, there is a support line to help homeowners through the process.

These scams are rampant across the State. Many people are getting letters following closings saying they need to pay a fee to complete the recording process or to obtain a certified copy of a deed. This is totally untrue and unnecessary. Any solicitation asking for more money after a closing is most likely a scam. Call our office if you have any questions about post-closing mail or emails.

Businesses and building owners have worked so hard to clean up on Locust Street. The street is closed today, and access from the bridge side is closed until further notice due to eroded support under that portion of the road and sidewalk. Our office can be accessed from the second floor entrances off Crystal Street and Cedar Alley. Thank you to our clients and colleagues for your continued patience and understanding.

Dear clients, colleagues and friends, Helene has caused catastrophic damage to downtown Spruce Pine (and Mitchell County entirely). But there is hope. Please be patient with us as we navigate next steps for our business and take time to aid in the recovery effort. We are praying for all of those affected by the hurricane.
