🐴✨ It’s officially **Mule Day season in Columbia! ✨🐴

Did you know this isn’t just a weekend event… it’s a full week of celebration in the heart of Mule Town stretching across all of Maury County? 🙌

But one of my favorite parts? The traditions you don’t always see advertised…

Just across the pasture from me, neighbors (near and far) gather with their wagons and horse trailers for a week-long campout leading up to Mule Day. Fires burning, stories being shared, and families and friends simply enjoying time together—it’s truly something special. ❤️

And honestly… these photos I snapped from my yard and on my evening walks don’t even begin to capture the size and scale of it.

Then, they saddle up and set off together on the wagon train, making their way into town and toward the park to kick off the festivities.

It’s one of those moments that just feels like stepping back in time—and a reminder of the strong roots and community we’re so lucky to have here.

❤️ Happy Valentine’s Day from Marlina Ervin and the Middle TN Living Team

After 29 years together, love looks less like everyday sunshine and roses (though I did get roses today 😉) and more like friendship, partnership, and choosing one another every single day.

In real estate — especially as I’m blessed to frequently work with large acreage across Middle Tennessee — you often see me out front on the signs, selling homes, land, properties and helping clients chase big dreams. But these photos tell the real story. My husband, Van, is usually right there behind the scenes, helping, supporting, and showing up when needed to make it all possible.

From hauling the Ranger for showings and navigating rough terrain to clearing paths, removing obstacles, and setting billboard-size signs along busy roadways — land takes grit. I’m grateful to have a partner who shows up without hesitation to help me market, navigate, and deliver for my clients.

🌾 The New American Dream 🌄

Help me congratulate my longtime friends on their most recent purchase — a stunning 60-acre farm in the very same school zone we grew up in.

There’s truly nothing more rewarding than when old friends call — the ones you grew up with, went to school with, and are even distantly kin. When I got that first call, it went something like this:

“Hey, we’re thinking about moving back home. We want a farm with space for our kids to plant roots — a place where our children and one day our grandkids can build if they choose. We want room for my sister and my dad to build too. We want a family unit… and we want to be back close to the Santa Fe area.”

As they shared their heart, I couldn’t help but smile — because I already had the perfect farm listed that checked every single box. And, selfishly, I was thrilled — it’s just ten minutes from where I live, and I knew how fun it would be to have these friends back close by.
