ADOPTION OF THE MONTH
I worked with Mark and Sarah to adopt my granddaughter. Prior to meeting them I was lost on what to do. A friend referred me to them, and they made the process so easy. It is a huge blessing to have the adoption finalized. My granddaughter has lived with me since she was born, it wasn’t a necessary step for us to take in order to gain custody. It was something we needed to do to protect her. This is a huge weight off my shoulders, and I couldn’t have done it without the Iverson’s.

ADOPTION OF THE MONTH:

Chloe, being only 10 years old, has had to go through some hard times throughout her life, including the divorce of her parents, that left she and I by ourselves. After some time, we met Peter and his three kids, Judah (11), Everly (9) and Truly (7) and life changed dramatically for the better. Chloe and the "JETs" as we call them clicked right away and Chloe finally had the siblings she's always wanted. As an added bonus, she also found a best friend and confidant in Everly, since they are in the same grade and close in age. Chloe also learned, over time, through Peter that she could trust in a "dad" and be treated and loved how a daughter should be. Chloe also got to see how a man respects and treats his family and puts his family first. We became an official family and got married with our kids by our side up front. Chloe's first question after we got married was "when does my name change to O'Bannan also?" This opened up a conversation about adoption, and Peter adopting her. Chloe was very eager for us to start the process and wanted more than anything to be an "O'Bannan" and not be a "step" daughter and sister anymore.

From beginning to end, Mark Iverson's office took us through each step of the adoption process, and each step/direction was clear/thorough as we moved through. Mark's team answered all questions/emails kindly and timely. They took on scheduling challenges that were important to us, like having Chloe's siblings at the finalization court hearing and were successful to make that happen. We were so blessed by how special Mark made our finalization court hearing with the judge and how not only was special for our family, but for our family and friends that attended the hearing as well.

We are so thankful to Mark and his team and look forward to our life ahead raising our kids together as siblings and for our family adventures to come as the "O'Bannan" family.
