Brian Werst recently attended the 2026 Airports Council International-North America (“ACI-NA”) Annual Conference in Philadelphia. Based on his experience as General Counsel to the Spokane Airport Board, Brian moderated a panel with industry-leading attorneys regarding Proprietor’s Rights, which focused on the rights of airports to manage, operate, and set business terms in the best interests of their respective airport and local community. Brian also assisted with the Roundtable discussion, which had a significant focus on the use of AI. Kudos to ACI-NA and Philadelphia for hosting an incredible annual conference. Although it was a quick trip, Brian fulfilled two personal bucket-list items: a Philly Cheesesteak battle between Pat’s King of Steaks and Geno’s Steaks (both “whizwit”) and the Rocky Statue.

Today, we remember and honor the life of our friend, colleague, and partner, Gary Randall. As a person, Gary Randall was unmatched. He was an incredible attorney, partner, and mentor during his 16 years with the firm, with the greatest law firm photo of all time. Gary will be missed, but his impact and legacy on the legal world and community will last forever.

WBM Attorney Brian Werst attended the 2026 Airports Council International-North America Spring Legal Affairs Conference in Coronado, California. The conference brings together airport legal professionals and consultants to identify and discuss the most pressing legal developments and issues associated with the airport industry.

Based on his experience as General County to the Spokane Airport Board, Brian participated on three panels with industry-leading attorneys regarding the FAA’s Revenue Use Policy, litigation update, and the always fun Roundtable, where anything and everything involving airports is open for discussion. This was a great conference with amazing attorneys and friends.

While “attending the conference,” Brian joined 19 other lawyers and friends to watch the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the San Diego Padres at Petco Park. There is truly nothing better than watching baseball in an incredible setting with great people!
