Unfortunately, we have investigated several pressure injuries while patients are being treated at a healthcare facility. This article summarizes the most recent guidelines to prevent pressure sore injury. Post Covid families are slowly being allowed into medical facilities to be with loved ones. Family members should check to ensure their loved ones are being:

Repositioned on a schedule based upon mobility
Confirm with medical staff repositioning is addressing risk of pressure sores
Implement reminder strategies to promote adherence. On each visit ask questions about repositioning.


The complications from pressure injuries can be serious and expensive! Prevention is the best medicine!

Proud to support All Heart Infusion! Making a difference if peoples lives!!

We shared last week that Jacob was coming off of TPN. We are happy to report that so far, all is well. Have you ever seen anyone happier to have a full plate of food in front of them.

Jacob has Short Gut Syndrome which means that he has a limited ability to absorb nutrition. For him to sustain himself without IV nutrition is one step closer to a life without a central line.
