Join us on Saturday, June 13th, 2026 for the Town of Ogden's annual FREE Community Recycling Event being held at the Ogden Highway facility from 8:00am until noon. The event will include: electronics drop-off (Sunnking Sustainable Solutions), document shredding (Shred It), and household hazardous waste drop-off (Monroe County). There is now leaf compost located out in front of the Highway Department located at 2432 South Union Street. This is for residential pickup only. NO MOTORIZED EQUIPMENT allowed on the property to load the compost.

🛑🤚You wouldn’t run a red light - don’t ignore a flagger.

We continue to hear about motorists harassing, ignoring, or even striking flaggers in work zones. These are real people doing their jobs to keep traffic moving safely. When you disobey their directions, you’re putting our crews’ lives in danger.

We need you to take this seriously. Do your part. Stop when directed. Lives depend on it.

Lyell Rd is back open at 7:18am. RGE made the area safe till crews make the repair.

Lyell Rd between Gillett Rd and Ronald Circle is currently closed due to a low hanging wire and snapped utility pole.

We congratulate Head Mechanic Doug Kimmel on 20 years of service at the Town of Ogden Highway Department. Doug has spent the past 20 years making sure the town fleet is always ready for the crews to get the job done.
