Over time I developed a system for every point of a pending sale which ensures a smooth process. When I work with others I’m transparent and embrace solutions for everyone involved. I love working in real estate. Everything about it! The people, homes, options, variety, contracts, systems, and being apart of a community! Why I am Different? Early in life I adapted to being a survivor. And I can
directly attribute many successes to my innate drive to find solutions. My most challenging years were pre and post transplant with my son. But, with that experience I realized I have the unique tendency to be a passionate, selfless, advocate for others. At my very first open house I spent 30 minutes with a couple relocating from Detroit. Grand Rapids was completely foreign. I asked them when they needed to move. They replied “yesterday.” Their desperation and fear was clearly apparent. I showed them the map of Grand Rapids on my phone and pointed to the areas that would have homes in their price range and had the qualities they desired. I listened to their frustrations about the situation. They knew the home would get multiple offers and wondered how are they gonna get a chance? I explained some cool quirky things that can be done with the Purchase Agreement and increase the odds of their offer being accepted. I knew they already were working with an agent. But, I didn’t care. I just wanted to help. I don’t sell homes. I am not a sales person. I’m a consultant. I listen to my clients and then decide the best way to execute a plan that gets them the outcome they desire. I educate, advocate, and execute. I believe in Giving Back...
Grand Rapids is an amazing city. The diversity and opportunity are huge and matched by the many organizations that work to improve the many facets of everyone's lives. I fiercely believe quality education and homeownership should be attainable for Everyone. I am very proud to say I have actively volunteered for Headstart of Kent County and ICCF. Headstart is an income based preschool that focuses on readiness outcomes. The international CCF helps communities by offering IDA programs, financial planning, and homeownership education that makes participants eligible for MSHDA loans and low or no down payment programs. I have been in leadership roles, participated in research efforts, and taught Real Estate Classes. I look forward to further serving my community with these organizations and more in the future. In my free time.. Time is really never free. But, I love to take my kids places and show them the world. We go to concerts, festivals, travel here in Michigan, and I teach them in the garden. We love to take bike rides, break out the kayaks, simple picnics in the park, beach days with outrageous flotation devices and big sand castles. Each season I attempt to teach them golf and try new sports. Recently I got my Son to push his boundaries and do a ten mile ride. And my daughter is learning how to skateboard. Oh yeah, and I clean up after them all the time!
