Worker's Comp has a new law that allows employers to reduce your comp rate by claiming that you can do some type of work, even if no actual job was ever offered to you. For example, if you are being paid $400 PER WEEK, your employer can lower your comp rate to $200 PER WEEK if you can do some type of work, even if you were never offered a job.

There is a 7-12 month wait between applying for Social Security benefits and a hearing. It is important that those applying have objective medical evidence from their doctors: MRIs, x-rays, EMG tests, etc. Persons treating for mental conditions should have an assessment by their psychiatrist every six months. Those seeking workman's compensation benefits must prove they are looking for work even though disabled.
