Most people get this wrong about slip and fall cases. 🚨

Just because you slipped and got hurt on someone else’s property does NOT automatically mean they’re responsible. To have a valid claim, you often need to prove the property owner knew about the dangerous condition, or should have known, and failed to fix it.

If you're injured in a slip and fall, document everything immediately. Take photos, gather witness information, and report the incident. Evidence can disappear quickly, and waiting could hurt your case.

If you have questions about your legal rights after an injury, we're here to help.

Contact Christensen Law for a FREE consultation.

June 5-7, we had the honor of hosting Alistair’s Sunrise Open, bringing together friends, families, and tennis enthusiasts in support of a cause that means so much to us.

Inspired by Alistair’s remarkable journey and resilience, the tournament benefited the Epilepsy Foundation Michigan and the Pediatric Epilepsy Surgery Alliance, helping raise awareness and support for individuals and families navigating epilepsy.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated, volunteered, donated, sponsored, and cheered from the sidelines. A special thank you to Coaches Bill Smith and David Pluszczyk, the Bloomfield Open Hunt team, the local tennis pros who came out to play in the Pro-Am on Friday night, and all of our supporters for helping create a weekend filled with competition, connection, hope, and heart.

Thank you for standing with us and helping bring greater awareness, resources, and hope to those impacted by epilepsy. 🎾💜☀️

Not all accident questions have obvious answers.

In this video, Intake Attorney Jeremy Knox breaks down some commonly asked questions and what Michigan law may allow in these situations, so you can better understand your rights.

❓ I was injured while at a house party. Someone attacked me. Do I have a case against the homeowner?

❓ I was in an auto accident and the driver was intoxicated. He was at a bar before the accident. Can the bar be held responsible?

❓My insurance lapsed and I was in an accident that was not my fault. Can I sue the at-fault driver for my medical bills and damage to my vehicle?

Have a question about a car accident, truck accident, or other injury claim? Leave it in the comments or give our team a call anytime. We're here to help.

Justice First.

Last Monday evening, we were honored to welcome incumbent Michigan Supreme Court Justices Megan Cavanagh and Noah Hood, along with members of our local community, for an evening of conversation about the judiciary and civic engagement.

Throughout the evening, Justices Cavanagh and Hood spoke about the important work of the Michigan Supreme Court and emphasized the critical role voters play in shaping our justice system. They encouraged attendees to make their voices heard in the upcoming midterm elections and reminded everyone not to overlook the nonpartisan section of the ballot, where judicial races are decided.

We are grateful to everyone who attended and helped make the evening a thoughtful discussion about civic participation, the importance of voting, and the role our courts play in everyday life.
