Moore County Criminal Superior Court is cancelled for Monday, February 2, 2026, because apparently Mother Nature decided to throw a tantrum. Our office will be closed, but our awesome staff will be remotely available to answer phones and tend to client needs. Please stay warm and hope for sun; lots and lots and lots of sun!!!

SCAM ALERT: Fake Arrest Warrant Letters

Scammers are mailing fake letters claiming you have an arrest warrant due to failure to appear in court. These letters often look official and may use names of real law enforcement agencies or courts.

Important reminders:
-Legitimate warrants are NEVER sent by mail asking for money.
-Scammers may demand payment via wire transfer, prepaid cards, or gift cards--this is a red flag.
-Do NOT call any phone numbers listed on suspicious letters.
-Contact the MCSO or your local law enforcement directly if you are unsure.

Stay vigilant. Warn others. Don't fall for the scare tactics.

The Moore County Courthouse is closed today. Both District and Superior Courts have been cancelled for today. If you had a court appearance scheduled for today, our office will notify you of your next court date once it is confirmed. Our office is currently closed; however, our staff is available remotely to assist with inquiries. Please contact our office at 910-692-7121 for support.

Due to the weather conditions, the Moore County Courthouse will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 22 and Thursday, Jan. 23. All scheduled court sessions, hearings, and other courthouse operations are postponed.

Once normal operations resume, please contact the Clerk of Superior Court's office at 910-722-5000 for rescheduling or additional information.
