Today I was involved in a Superior Court Mediation that went over 3 hours.
At issue was a Landlord Tenant Unlawful Detainer ( Eviction)
Mediation allows the parties to craft an agreement settlement via a neutral party the Mediator.
As the neutral I understood the conflict and the facts on both sides.
If the parties cannot reach a settlement , a trial is held and the court makes a decision.
What I have learned, is the court makes a decision and may be not the outcome that parties desire.
Courts make a decision on the Rule of Law based on facts, not emotions.
The court made a decision and in this case a proposed settlement would have been a better kinder outcome for the parties.
