Does a high school athlete need an LLC to earn NIL income? Not necessarily.

An LLC may become helpful when sponsorships, merchandise sales, paid appearances, expenses, and other NIL opportunities begin operating like an ongoing business. However, forming one does not automatically resolve every legal or financial concern—especially when the athlete is a minor.

Before making a decision, families should consider taxes, contracts, parental involvement, athletic eligibility, and the athlete’s long-term goals. Can a will be challenged in New Jersey?

If you have a legal interest in an estate and believe a will does not reflect the deceased person’s true intentions, you may have grounds to contest it. Common reasons include undue influence, lack of testamentary capacity, fraud, forgery, or improper ex*****on.

However, dissatisfaction with an inheritance alone is generally not enough. Timing is also critical, as different procedures and strict deadlines may apply depending on whether the will has already been admitted to probate.

Congratulations to Michael McBride, Esq., on securing a defense verdict following a jury trial in Bergen County, New Jersey.

This highly complex medical malpractice case involved intricate medical issues and conflicting expert testimony across four specialties: orthopedic surgery, pulmonary/critical care medicine, cardiology, and pharmacology.

Following the plaintiff’s settlements with the co-defendants before trial, Mike represented the remaining physician defendant, navigating competing medical opinions and presenting evidence concerning the settling defendants’ responsibility.
