Happy Notary Public Day on Thursday, 7 November 2019 to all notaries public!! Enjoy our special day!!!

08/23/2019

On Thursday, (22 August 2019) I received my prosthesis from Hanger in Somersworth. Starting next week, I shall have physical therapy at Marshbrook III. In a few weeks, I am hopeful of being able to resume participating on the different municipal boards on which I have been.named. My amputation occurred on 5 April 2019 so I say enough already!!

06/23/2019

Finally, I am home! From 1 April 2019 until 21 June 2019, I have either been at Wenworth-Douglass Hospital (1-13 April 2019), Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital (13-25 April 2019), or Dover Rehab (25 April 2019-21 June 2019). It will still be a while before Dr Gemmett, the vascular surgeon, will order my prosthesis as my stump is still healing from a fall I had while dressing at Dover Rehab. In addition, we are waiting for the door threshold so that I may egress out of our apartment. And there is still a correction needed for our ramp to make it ADSA compliant. Things are just taking longer than expected! But it's nice to be home!!

On 1 February 2019 we moved to our new apartment at 79 Franklin Street, Apt C, in Somersworth, NH! We are now in Ward 2!

From 24-27 January 2019, I was hospitalized at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover NH with MSRA infections in open wounds on both feet. My post-hospitalization present is to continue wearing two specialized shoes until the wounds are healed. I also have a slew of medical post hospitalization medical appointments. It's almost better to stay in the hospital!! I had wanted to do to a rehab placement until the wounds were healed and the infections taken care of, but I was deemed not eligible since I technically don't need any services a rehab would offer-- I only have to take medicine. Oh well .. we solder on!

12/23/2018

Please accept my best wishes for a very merry and blessed Christmas this year!!

12/23/2018

Please be advised that as of 18 December 2018 I have been put on the inactive list for a kidney transplant pending an improvement in one of the blood tests used as a measuring stick for transplants. According to Dr Chobanian's letter, I don't lose any time nor my place on the transplant list once this issue is resolved. Let's just do it!!!

Insights, analysis and must reads from CNN's Fareed Zakaria and the Global Public Square team, compiled by the GPS team.

November 11, 2018
On Today’s Show
On GPS at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. ET on CNN:

Fareed’s exclusive interview with French President Emmanuel Macron on the resurgence of populism, on his relationship with President Donald Trump — Does he think a clash between himself and Trump is inevitable? And what does he think of Trump's cancellation of Saturday's planned trip to an American World War I cemetery in France?

Watch Macron on what he and Trump share – and where they disagree.

Fareed and Macron also discuss the dangerous trends that could jeopardize a fragile peace upon the centenary of the First World War—and the steps the French President is taking to build international cooperation and keep totalitarianism at bay in a world in which the United States is no longer a predictable player.

Also, Fareed gives his Take on the legacy of World War I, and why we may still be suffering under the “Great Illusion” that progress is inevitable.

“If you compare the world today, it feels less like the 1930s than the 1920s. Economic growth and technological progress were accelerating then, as now. We are also seeing a surge in nationalism and the breakdown of cooperation, which were the hallmarks of the 1920s. New great powers were ascending, as they are now,” Fareed says. “Things are not simply going to work themselves out while we watch. History is not a Hollywood movie.”
