This may sound crazy, but one of the best times to view a home is during the rain. ☔

Here are a few things you can check / see:

• Crawl space — look for standing water or moisture

• Basement — check for leaks, damp spots, or water intrusion

• Windows & doors — watch for water coming in or failing seals

• Roof — look for leaks or fresh water stains inside the home

• Yard & land — see how the property drains naturally

• Foundation — check for water pooling around the base of the home

• Gutters & downspouts — make sure they’re directing water away properly

• Grading — see if the land slopes water toward or away from the house

• Driveway & roads — check for pooling water & run off issues.
