Ocean City, Maryland has strict laws against open containers of alcohol in public:
Open containers
It is illegal to possess or consume an open container of alcohol in any public area, including streets, sidewalks, alleys, avenues, beaches, parking lots, and vehicles.
Underage drinking
It is illegal for anyone under 21 to have an open container of alcohol in public.
Penalties
The penalty for violating the open container law is a misdemeanor charge, up to $500 in fines, and up to 90 days in jail. The police can issue a citation or arrest someone at the scene
