A wonderful time of learning, connection, and inspiration!

Earlier this month, the First Truth Law team attended the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (VTLA) Women’s Caucus Retreat, connecting with fellow plaintiff attorneys from across Virginia.

As Chair of the Women’s Caucus, Christina Dimeo helped bring the retreat to life, leading the event and organizing an incredible lineup of speakers. Lauren Davis was among the presenters, sharing valuable insights on wellness and setting healthy boundaries.

And a special shoutout to Lisa Brook, who made the trip across the state to join the team after speaking at the ALPS Insurance 2026 Ethics CLE Tour at Hotel Roanoke!

We’re grateful for opportunities like these to learn from one another, strengthen connections, and return with fresh perspectives to better serve our clients.

In observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, our office is closed today, Monday, October 12.

Today, we recognize and honor the history, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous peoples and communities.

We will resume normal business hours tomorrow, Tuesday, October 13.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3! 🇺🇸

Voting is an important opportunity to make your voice heard. Whether you plan to vote early, by absentee ballot, or in person on Election Day, take a few minutes now to make your plan.

The attached flyer includes helpful information about registering, early voting, absentee voting, and important deadlines for Virginia voters. The Virginia Department of Elections confirms that the 2026 General Election is November 3, with October 23 as the deadline to register for a regular ballot and to request a mailed absentee ballot.

A little time away, a lot of great memories.

Our team retreat gave us a chance to step away from our usual routines, connect with one another, and reflect on how we can continue showing up as the best versions of ourselves—both individually and as a team.

From thoughtful conversations and shared ideas to good food, a cozy cabin in the woods, spa time, the beach, and a fun night at Medieval Times, we enjoyed the opportunity to recharge and spend time together outside of work.

We’re heading back refreshed, connected, and grateful for a team that works hard and knows how to have a little fun along the way! 😊
