Today I narrowly missed and witnessed a really bad car accident. I immediately pulled over and provided limited triage and instructions "relax, don't move lay down flat on the soft grass and DO NOT MOVE until the ambulance gets here, they will do the rest". I called 911 offered my full name and phone number as the only eye-witness to the event. It happened in slow motion. I was so close to being involved the flying glass flew threw the air and hit my car. It happened in slow motion. I heard the glass pieces hit my car like pebbles. After telling 911 I was a witness and giving my name and number, I drove to a parking lot 3 blocks away at the dog park I was heading to and sat in my car and composed myself for 15 minutes. Then took Ziggy to the dog park.
That happened on the way to the park with Ziggy from getting a toddlers winter coat from Good Will I was going to repurpose for Ziggy to use the bathroom during the blizzard. Turns out it was too small so I gave it to a friend who has a smaller dog at the dog park.
All of that was after I entered my appearance in a protective order case for one client, and filed a motion to compel a better answer in a $3,012,000 civil lawsuit for another client.
Which was at the same time as I was bumping my DR/Authority score from my webpage.
Then I stocked up on Red bull and provisions before the storm, made plans to get my 4X4 ready to drive elderly and sick people to the hospitals during the impending blizzard.
Took some notes and had a meeting with a forensic company regarding some cell phone analysis for a client.
That was all in a six hour time span. Then I took Ziggy to a different dog park to get some more energy-burn off before coming home to work on my law stuff, talk to a friend, and work on my website some more. Now I am making this post before going back to do some technical work as my cases are finished for the week.
Oh I also finalized a schedule for taking over a friend and colleagues practice for him while he's on vacation next week.
This is by no means a typical Friday for attorney Christopher Moschkin, Esq. But it is typical of how I operate, my velocity, and my acumen. Oh I forgot to mention my trip to Target to buy treats for Ziggy where I identified an abandoned cell phone and found the owner, and exchanged information because it turns out he has a friend that needs a lawyer. I won't be making any money from the case as he is an immigrant from Egypt with limited means, so it's a pro bono case. But duty to the law and the people, residents, and citizens of Montgomery County is not all about money, it's about duty and honor.
Thank you for reading this I hope you all stay safe and warm during the storm this weekend while I'm out working to help medical emergencies reach medical care with my 4X4. Cheers!
