When I think about what I do, I see myself as someone who stands up for other people against bullies. Representing the regular person against giant companies with unlimited budgets, armies of lawyers, fine print, and red tape.

Being an aggressive lawyer today means being fast, doing high-quality work, and following through. It means not giving the other side an inch of ground just to be nice.

Burnout is a real problem in our profession. It doesn’t matter what type of lawyer you are, and it can hit much earlier in your career than you might think. Focus on moving the needle toward your final resolution and victory. Don’t chase those imaginary bonus points you get for pushing yourself until you break down.
