Laviano & Gagne is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Special Education Advocate to join our team full time.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who already has significant experience working with special education families, understands special education law and the IEP process, and is passionate about helping children with disabilities access appropriate educational services and supports.

Our ideal candidate is someone who:

-Completed COPAA’s SEAT 1 and SEAT 2 training

-Has experience attending PPT meetings

-Working knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, evaluations, eligibility, behavior supports, and the educational rights of school aged students

-Can communicate effectively and compassionately with families navigating difficult situations

-Is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage a busy caseload

-Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

-Understands that this work requires both strong advocacy skills and deep empathy

At Laviano & Gagne, we work with families across Connecticut in some of the most complex and emotionally important moments of their children’s educational journeys. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys this work, values teamwork, and wants to make a meaningful difference for students with disabilities and their families.
