The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) applauded the decision that U.S. land border and ferry crossing points of entry, as well as all air travelers, will reopen next month to fully vaccinated visitors. The American Immigration Lawyers Association continues to press the White House to lift the "Title 42" order, a policy implemented by the previous administration that effectively denied asylum to thousands of vulnerable migrants seeking entry from Mexico, and which this administration has indicated will be maintained.

Does the Investor Need a Visa?
An investor will typically visit the United States for one of two reasons. To begin, the investor may wish to look into the many firms that are available for acquisition. Second, the investor may want to inspect the conditions for beginning the business personally. If the investor is from Canada, no visa is required because Canadians are exempt. Montana and other border states are favored investment destinations. The Visa Waiver Program or the B-1 business visa could be used by investors from other countries.

As part of the performance assessment process for immigration judges, the Trump administration enforced case completion quotas that required them to complete 700 cases each year or risk disciplinary action.

Join our team of experienced professionals supporting an immigration attorney in his solo practice of 25+ years, serving clients located all over the world.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing applications for filing with USCIS, primarily forms I-130, I-485, U Visa, N-400 and Employment Authorization Applications.
- Preparing filings for submission with USCIS and other government agencies in accordance with respective standards.
- Assist clients in complying and preparing evidence.
- Communicate regularly with client regarding case status.
- Manage independent case load and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Maintaining internal case management system.

Requirements:
Preferred but not required. Paralegal Degree or Paralegal Certification. (International degrees will be considered.)
+1 Year general- fast paced office experience.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Excellent client service skills.
Ability to work independently
Ability to work under strict legal deadlines.
Strong organizational skills, and ability to manage.
Must be able to write and speak in English fluently, Spanish a plus.

Salary commensurate with experience, skills, strengths. This is not an entry level position, but willing to train the right person. Please provide salary requirements and three professional references.

Screen calls and provide information to prospective clients about our services.
Track inquiries and set up consultations.
Communicate with prospective clients, on the phone and through email.
Assist with preparing and sending engagement letters, processing payments and setting up client files.
You will work with another intake assistant in a shared position, some flexibility in scheduling your work day/week is possible.
