Will, the son of our managing partner Liz Nohren, just captured the championship at New Balance Nationals with an amazing 7’05” high jump.

Dove & Dove Attorneys at Law is proud to announce the annual ECE Memorial Scholarship.

The Shelbyville firm, led by managing partner Liz Nohren, will award $1,000 scholarships to Shelby County high school seniors or graduates who plan to attend college.

Each year, multiple scholarships are awarded to students pursuing degrees in Special Education or studying law. Last year, Dove & Dove awarded $3,000 in scholarships to local students.

The scholarship honors the memory of Liz Nohren’s father and former law partner, EC Eberspacher, who passed away in 2012.

Applications are available at Dove & Dove Attorneys at Law or through your high school guidance counselor.

In observance of Lincoln’s Birthday, Dove & Dove Law Office will be closed today.

Abraham Lincoln’s ties to Shelby County run deeper than many realize. As a young attorney traveling the 8th Judicial Circuit, Lincoln came to Shelbyville to serve the people of this community, practicing law right here in our county courthouse. Like many attorneys of his time, he rode from town to town, building his reputation through integrity, preparation, and a deep commitment to justice.

Shelbyville also holds an important place in history. In 1858, Lincoln spoke here during the Senate campaign against Stephen A. Douglas. That speech is widely recognized as one of the early moments where he addressed how slavery was dividing the nation, reinforcing his belief that the country could not endure permanently half slave and half free. Those ideas would later shape the course of American history.

At Dove & Dove, we are proud to practice law in a community with such a meaningful legal and historical legacy.
