Looking for a big-hearted best friend with a whole lot of personality? Meet Quala!

This 2-year-old, wonderfully wiggly girl came to Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (HARP) under circumstances that gave very little information about her past. What we do know is that Quala is an incredibly loyal, affectionate pup who's ready to put her past behind her and start her next chapter.

Quala is full of energy and would love an active home where she can put her powerful nose to work with scent games, explore the world, and enjoy plenty of tasty rewards. She's also made great progress with HARP's team as she learns to stay focused around small animals on walks.

Quala has enjoyed spending time with calmer female dogs and could potentially be a great canine companion for a laid-back girl, with a proper meet-and-greet. Because she has a strong prey drive, however, she would not be a good match for a home with cats or other small animals.

This big, goofy, affectionate girl may be a little potato-shaped, but she's got a heart that's anything but small. If you're looking for an energetic companion who's ready to fill your days with fun, loyalty, and plenty of love, Quala might just be your girl!

🐾 Pet of the Week: Meet Peregrin! 🐾

Look up in the sky! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nope, it’s Peregrin!

This sweet 7-month-old tabby came to Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (HARP) when her owner had more cats than they could care for. Since arriving, Peregrin has really come out of her shell and discovered that life has plenty of good things to offer, including becoming a total purr machine!

Peregrin enjoys neck scratches, gentle words, and a nice, calm atmosphere where she can relax and be herself. She even likes having company while she eats, because apparently every meal is better with a friend nearby!

If you're looking for a young cat who would be happy to trade the kitten chaos for a slower pace filled with love, gentle attention, and plenty of purrs, Peregrin may be your girl.

🐾 Pet of the Week: Meet Skyler! 🐾

Some dogs don't ask for much, they just want a safe place to call home and someone to love. Meet Skyler. 💙

This handsome 4-year-old arrived at Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (HARP) as a skinny stray, and while we may never know what his life was like before, we're excited to help him write a much happier next chapter.

Skyler has a calm, gentle personality and loves soaking up quiet moments with the people he trusts. Whether you're offering soft pets, kind words, or simply a cozy place to relax, he's happiest just being by your side.

As HARP continues to learn more about Skyler, he seems to prefer people over other dogs and would likely thrive as the only canine in the home, where he can enjoy all the love and attention for himself.

If you're looking for a loyal companion with a heart as big as his smile, Skyler could be the perfect match. He has so much love to give—he just needs someone to give it to. ❤️🐶
