📢 Important Update for Rodriguez Vazquez Class Members & Potential Class Members

Last week, the Court granted NWIRP’s motion requiring the government to provide 72 hours’ notice before transferring certain class members to detention facilities in the Fifth or Eighth Circuit. The notice must be provided to the class member, their immigration counsel, and class counsel.

⚠️ Important: This protection applies after a potential class member has requested a bond hearing before an Immigration Judge.

If you believe your client was transferred in violation of the notice order after the ruling was issued, email [email protected] with:

🚨 Scam Alert:More people detained in Tacoma may now be eligible for bond hearings, but scammers are exploiting this news to target families.

Scammers may impersonate real attorneys, send fake court documents or virtual hearings, and demand money for a supposed bond.

**Remember:** NWIRP will not contact you about a bond case if your loved one is not already a represented client.

Learn the warning signs and share this information to help protect immigrant families.

Victory in Court! ⚖

A federal appeals court rules DHS's third-country deportation policy unlawful.

This ruling underscores that due process, accountability, and humanity must remain at the heart of our justice system.

Third-country removals should never be used as tools of intimidation or fear against immigrant communities.
