Buying a home in Seattle is not as simple as waiting for the “perfect” market.

The headlines might make it sound like everyone is sitting still, but my clients are proving them wrong. 😉

People outgrow homes, find the one they cannot stop thinking about, need more space, want a different neighborhood (hello Ballard → West Seattle debates), or realize the timing finally makes sense for their family.

That’s why I never want clients making decisions based only on what the news says is happening.

Your move should be based on your numbers, your goals, your timing, and what actually makes sense for your life. (Spoken like a former tech finance person who has seen a spreadsheet do unspeakable things.)

Moved all weekend and I have learned who my real ones are.
My Seattle Kraken tumbler kept my wine perfectly chilled while every actual wine glass I own is still buried in a box labeled "misc."

Sitting in the dark, TV glow, red wine at the exact right temp because this thing does not miss. Genuinely the hardest working item in this entire move.
Release the Kraken, chill the Cabernet.

If moving season is coming for you too, drop a comment and I'll spare you at least three of the mistakes I clearly just made.

We've moved 10 times in 12 years, and at this point I'm officially retired from the moving process. 😂

These days, my husband handles the movers while George and I check into a hotel for a little staycation. We stay out of the way, supervise from a safe distance, and somehow still end up exhausted.

This time, we scored an incredible view, and even better, the Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa on Lake Washington in Kirkland is dog friendly. George gives it two paws up. 🐾
