MacDonald Hoague & Bayless Immigration Practice Group partners Lola Zakharova and Andrew Chan were honored to attend a beautiful fundraiser benefiting the Ukrainian nonprofit Volia Fund, which supports people who have lost limbs and are rebuilding their lives.

It was a wonderful evening filled with music, heartfelt performances, warm conversations, and a strong sense of community.

At MHB, we believe that some things go beyond politics. Supporting people who are facing extraordinary hardship, helping them regain independence, and standing with organizations that provide meaningful, practical assistance is simply part of being a caring community.

We are grateful to Volia Fund and the Ukrainian community of Washington for the important work it does and for bringing people together.

MacDonald Hoague & Bayless (MHB) is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Immigration File Clerk to join our Seattle office.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys creating order, working with documents, and supporting a collaborative legal team. You'll work closely with our Legal Practice Coordinator, attorneys, and paralegals, and we'll provide training.

What you'll do:
• Process and organize immigration case documents and government correspondence
• Prepare filing packages for USCIS and other agencies
• Support client intake and maintain digital case files
• Help ensure our cases move forward accurately and efficiently
We're looking for someone who:
✔ Has exceptional attention to detail
✔ Is organized, reliable, and eager to learn
✔ Is comfortable working with digital documents and technology
✔ Enjoys working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

📍 Location: Seattle, WA (On-site)

Full-time
Salary: $45,000–$50,000, depending on experience

The Washington State Patrol was fined $750,000 for failing to disclose information about why they dismissed a citation related to a crash that killed a couple's son.

A judge found the State Patrol improperly failed to locate or turn over nearly 650 documents surrounding an investigation into the death of 23-year-old Isaac Adler.
