Seattle Divorce Services

Seattle Divorce Services Our Seattle divorce attorneys work to reduce fighting and instead build agreements, allowing clients to cooperate moving forward.

We are a divorce law firm focusing on sophisticated strategies for resolving complex and difficult family law issues. When possible we like to use alternative dispute resolution methods like early mediation and collaboration (a team approach to problem solving) to avoid escalating the conflict between the parties. When litigation is needed, we believe in using our dispute resolution training to negotiate what we can, as trial should still be the last option rather than the first.

Great discussion with Co-Parenting coach Karen Bonnell on navigating the holidays in a child-centered way.

Karen Bonnell shared her thoughts on celebrating holidays post-divorce on New Day Northwest. This is from 2019, but a really great segment.

Our Firm

We are a law firm located in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle that focuses on dispute resolution in difficult or complex divorces. We have made it our mission to improve the way divorce is handled in the Seattle area. No matter how messy your divorce is, we will work to find the right solution for you.

Our firm motto is “Innovative Approaches — Reasonable Solutions.” Mike Fancher founded our firm, and he has always looked for better ways to serve family law clients. This included his early work in volunteer legal clinics, in the development of pro se legal services, his training as a mediator, and his extensive work in collaborative divorce. As the firm grew, Mike sought other like-minded attorneys to join him in creating the firm we are today.

The attorneys that make up our firm have years of experience as litigators, representing clients in highly complicated and emotional disputes. In addition to their litigation experience, our attorneys train in mediation to improve their dispute resolution skills. This mediation training has heightened our commitment to finding different ways to resolve cases. Whether you and your spouse are on good terms or can’t bear to look at each other, we’ll work together to find a way forward.
