🏈Homecoming season is here! As many schools celebrate with big games and events, it’s the perfect time to brush up on concussion safety.

A concussion is a brain injury that can happen after a hit to the head or body, even if your child isn’t “knocked out.”

--> Know the warning signs that need urgent attention:

* Severe headache or neck pain
* Weakness in arms or legs
* Vomiting
* Unresponsiveness or seizures

If a hit happens and there’s any concern for a concussion:
1. Pull your child from practice or the game right away.
2. Have them checked by a doctor or licensed healthcare provider before they return to play.
3. Remember, proper return-to-play protocol is the law!
