After attending Harvard Law School, Rick started as a one-lawyer office in Sitka, Alaska. He has now been named to the Super Lawyers list for the 23rd time. Isabel Sanner's path to Friedman Rubin started when she was in seventh grade.

A deep interest in helping people was the seed from which her law aspirations grew, especially once she saw lawyers as advocates who could create greater equality and drive meaningful change.

At Seattle University School of Law, she found her home in advocacy, and from there has competed in Moot Court and Dispute Resolution Competitions. She has also served as a legal extern at the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington and completed an externship with the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project.

“I’ve always wanted to be the person who helps someone see the light at the end of the tunnel,” Isabel says. “Plaintiff-side work gives me the opportunity to stand beside people when they are going through some of the most difficult experiences of their lives and fight for them.”

No more than 5% of Washington attorneys make the Super Lawyers list. Rachel Luke has now done it four times.

That consistency is no accident. Since joining Friedman Rubin in 2017, Rachel has taken on some of the most technically demanding work in civil litigation: products liability, aviation, personal injury, and insurance bad faith - cases where the opposing side arrives with engineers, actuaries, and effectively unlimited resources.

And the list only captures part of it. Rachel has evaluated judicial candidates for the Loren Miller Bar Association, co-chaired the Washington State Association for Justice Diversity Committee, and represented survivors pro bono through the Sexual Violence Law Center.
