Community Associations (CA) Day is October 17 at the Washington State Convention Center in downtown Seattle! It's the Community Associations Institute - WA State Chapter's annual one-day educational event and trade show for condominiums and HOAs. This event is in its 39th year! This year, we have three Peryea Silver Taylor attorneys presenting. Lauren Olson and Samantha Brown will be co-presenting about construction contracts, during a presentation aiming to deliver a foundational understanding of the different types of contracts, addendums, negotiations and common issues. Allison Peryea will be co-presenting on water losses, WUCIOA, and the subrogation process. Samantha will also be co-presenting on "The Myth of Being Right," a presentation that will examine the assumption that issues can be neatly divided into right and wrong.

Last week shareholder attorney Allison Peryea attended the Washington State Community Association Institute’s Eastern Washington Conference in her capacity as WSCAI President. Our firm was also proud to be a sponsor of the event, which was held in Spokane. The event provided educational programming to homeowners, board members, and managers about topics ranging from insurance to reserve studies and building investigations.

Last week Peryea Silver Taylor attorneys Lauren Olson and Allison Peryea, along with firm administrator Michelle Leary, attended Community Associations Institute - WA State Chapter's first-ever Condo Crawl in downtown Seattle! We were given special tours of One Pacific Tower, The Emerald, First Light, and Cristalla. Each community featured great amenities, including a secret w**e cellar, a rooftop garden, an infinity pool, and breathtaking views!

This first-ever WSCAI event involves tours of four of the most exclusive luxury high-rise condominium buildings in the area to fuel your real-estate fantasies, and ends with a mixer at the historic Kell's Pub in Post Alley! This week is Firm Administrator Whitney Schneider's last week with our law firm. We celebrated/mourned with a rooftop happy hour at the Next Level Lounge, a Brazilian-themed cocktail bar next door to our office. We will miss you, Whitney!

We are looking forward to more hangouts with the amazing women in our industry!
