We are pleased to announce that CH& attorneys Rochelle Doyea and Jeremy Fischel Wood will be presenting “Employment Law and Consequences" at the Northwest Marina & Boatyard Conference today.

The conference is organized by the Northwest Marine Trade Association, which represents more than 600 marine-related businesses and is a major regional trade association for the recreational boating industry. It is a specialized Northwest industry conference where marina and boatyard professionals come together to learn about legal, regulatory, operational, environmental, and business issues affecting their industry—which makes Rochelle and Jeremy's employment-law presentation a particularly relevant topic.

We are proud to have Rochelle and Jeremy representing CH& at this important industry event and contributing to conversations that help professionals navigate today’s evolving legal landscape.

The Northwest Marina & Boatyard Conference is an annual industry conference hosted by the Northwest Marine Trade Association (NMTA). It brings together marina and boatyard owners, operators, port professionals, marine businesses, attorneys, engineers, safety professionals, and other people who work in the Pacific Northwest marine industry.

With the Seattle Kraken kicking off their season this Sunday, October 4, we’re getting into the spirit here at Cairncross & Hempelmann - our building is showing its Kraken pride with a giant te****le making an appearance just in time for opening weekend! Because what better way to celebrate hockey in Seattle than with a little te****le takeover? We are excited to cheer on the Seattle Kraken and celebrate another season of hockey in our city.

Cairncross & Hempelmann attorneys Maria Hodgins and Daniel T. Hagen are attending the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) – Northwest Chapter’s 2026 Cross-Border Conference on October 1st in Stevenson, Washington.
The annual conference brings together professionals working in corporate restructuring, renewal, and corporate health for discussions on the complex and evolving issues affecting businesses, creditors, and other stakeholders. TMA is a professionally diverse organization that connects professionals across a range of disciplines within the turnaround and restructuring industry.
This year’s program features discussions addressing state, federal, and Canadian receiverships, distressed asset sales, and recoveries. These topics provide attendees with an opportunity to explore the legal, financial, and operational considerations involved in navigating financially distressed situations and restructuring matters across jurisdictions.
By bringing together professionals from across the restructuring and turnaround community, the conference provides a valuable forum for exchanging ideas, gaining practical insights, and strengthening professional relationships.
