📢 / Theft Update: The objector, Donald Birner, who is an attorney, submitted a defective petition to the Supreme Court in May 2026. The Supreme Court returned the petition to Mr. Birner on Oct. 6, 2026, and provided him with 60 days to refile the petition with form corrections. The court did not explain why it took so long to advise Mr. Birner that his petition was defective. At this time, we do not have an estimate of how long it will take the Supreme Court to resolve the petition, assuming that Mr. Birner chooses to refile.
