Moran said Friday they intend to file undisclosed civil claims against the school district, Tolerico and "perhaps others" he declined to identify.

“Ms. Tolerico’s conduct, and those who enabled it, was reprehensible, lewd, and degrading," Moran said in a statement. "It has caused the victim and family irreparable harm. Nevertheless, the family is grateful to law enforcement and the Lackawanna County District Attorney's office for securing a conviction and ensuring that Ms. Tolerico takes accountability for her actions.”

According to the suit, the girl sustained a traumatic brain injury, concussion, multiple facial bone fractures, fractures to both left and right wrists, a laceration of the liver and a spinal injury.
