One of the frustrations I have when I'm investigating which company I want to use for a project is the common lack of transparency when it comes to price. Usually it's like pulling teeth to get a solid idea about price, especially when it comes to video production companies. Our goal is to not only advertise a low cost for the real estate agents who see the value in using video to market their properties, but to also minimize additional add-on fees.

If you are a real estate agent, and you want a video to be produced using the photos you've already had taken of the property, but you want something MUCH more effective than a dry Tour Factory Virtual Tour, we charge $199. Motion graphics? Included. Music? Included. Want to record your own voice over narration of the video in our studio? Included. We do NOT charge for milage, unless we have to drive far outside the Phoenix metro area (i.e Tucson).

If you want to schedule a full video shoot of a property you're selling, which usually takes us 2-4 hours depending on the square footage of the property, our pricing is generally between $249 - $349 depending on square footage. As with our other packages, motion graphics, music, recording your own voice over, etc is all included.

We will fill ANY and ALL needs our clients have to the best of our ability. We do not nickle and dime our clients while we are designing the video. There are occasions where we must add a fee, but we are very straightforward about what we may have to charge for right up front. Our goal is for you to be happy and see the value we can add to your business. We want you to walk away happy that we were completely transparent about our pricing and met your needs fully.

Many Real Estate agents today are "post and pray" agents. They don't want to put out any money to market the property. And so use the same old tools they've used for years, even though the technological culture has passed them by.

Video is now a must. Especially for luxury homes. Yet even luxury home real estate agents do not grasp the necessity to use the most effective tools at their disposal, especially if it requires spending more money.

The money you spend determines, in the long run, the money you will get back. Think about a home renovation. It may be painful to spend $3000 on some new flooring. Or installing a new backsplash. Or upgrading the bathroom. But the more you spend on the reno, the higher end of clients you will attract.

So it goes with real estate agents. The more effort you put into marketing, the higher end the clients you will attract. Someone needing to sell their $5 million dollar home is going to want a better product than someone selling their $100k home. A seller with a $100k home may be happy with the same old Tour Factory Slideshow. But a luxury home owner wants something more.

When I've presented the services that we are offering, there has been a response that I've heard several times from real estate agents that has been confusing. It has been this:

"Videos are not going to sell a home."

This statement is confusing for several reasons. First, think about marketing itself. Take, for example, a gum company like Wrigley's. Is a video going to sell a pack of gum? Are you going to watch a video and be so blown away that you can't calm down until you buy that pack of gum? Not usually. So why does Wrigley's spend millions upon millions a year, including spending millions specifically to create it's commercials, in order to market their gum? Don't most people who buy gum just grab whatever they see on the counter at the gas station or grocery store? Are they wasting those millions since "videos don't sell gum?"

Their reason is twofold. First, the gum company wants to create some sort of emotional impact with you in connection with their product. Once you see something, it is impossible to forget. It's forever stuck in your brain. And the expectation is that after you've seen their commercial, you will find yourself standing in the checkout line, realize you need some gum, and subconsciously remember the feeling you got when you viewed their video. You may not even consciously remember the commercial. You may not remember anything about it. But when you saw it, if it gave you any emotion whatsoever, the hope is that this will subconsciously cause you to pick up that pack of gum and buy it. Maybe it was the music. Maybe the narrator sounded like an old friend or loved one. Maybe it made you laugh. SOME kind of emotional connection is the goal, even if you won't consciously remember it later.

Did the video sell the gum? Yes! Or at least it had a major part in you purchasing that particular gum.

And yet, that is an investment of around $1.00. They don't simply post photos on the internet of their gum. They don't simply give you a tour of the gum, using 360 virtual tours. The goal is to pack an emotional wallop. Maybe the commercial has little to do with gum at all. It's like the common joke where a commercial that appears to be all about tennis is actually an ad for tampons. Maybe it was a funny commercial that gets you to laugh. That has the SAME EFFECT. It affected your emotions, thus you will be more likely to buy their product.

Your home will probably be the largest investment of your life. And yet it is commonly being marketed in a far less compelling way than even a pack of gum! It's unlikely that some photos on an MLS database like Zillow are going to impact someone's emotions in the same way that video can. And even virtual tours that give some small motion to the photos won't have that same "punch".

Imagine being given the choice of 2 agents. The first is using the same tools they've used for the past 20 years. They will hire a photographer to take photos of the home. They will post on all the popular MLS databases. And they will conduct open houses. The second agent is innovative in how they market your property. They use the latest cutting edge tools. They actively establish emotional connections with potential home buyers. They have a film crew shoot the property, and then deliver the finished video with compelling motion graphics, titles, music, narration, and what not to you. They even give you a video to share with others so you can be proactively involved in selling their home. On top of all this, they use all of the same tools that the first agent is using. They conduct the open house, and sure enough multiple serious prospects put in offers, driving up the price.

Who would you choose to represent you? The one doing the same old thing? Or the one using every available tool to help sell your home quickly? THIS is how an agent stands out from the crowd of tens of thousands of other agents in the same area.

So...does video sell a home? Absolutely! It may not sell the home by itself. But when it's combined with passion, a hard working agent, and used in tandem with other established real estate marketing techniques, it can help to sell a home quickly.
