The United States Supreme Court ruled that Voluntary Departure deadlines do not include weekends or holidays. In Monsalvo Velázquez v. Bondi, the U.S. Supreme Court clarified that the 60-day voluntary departure deadline in immigration proceedings does not include weekends or holidays. Justice Gorsuch delivered the majority opinion, with support from Justices Roberts, Sotomayor, Kagan, and Jackson. Justices Thomas, Alito, Kavanaugh, and Barrett dissented.
