Thoughts??? Why was that evidence blocked in the first place? 😳 After her report, why was there no protective order? Do you think the system failed her and is possibly failing other victims too? 👇
Here’s the story 👇
In 2019, Alexis Crawford, a Clark Atlanta University student, reported an alleged sexual assault by her roommate’s boyfriend, Barron Brantley. She did everything right. She went to the police. Five days later, she was found dead.
Her roommate Jordyn Jones and Brantley were both charged with her murder. That was six years ago. There is still no trial date.
A judge had previously ruled that the sexual assault evidence could NOT be brought up in court. That decision was just unanimously overturned. The jury WILL now hear about what Alexis reported before she died.
And that raises even more questions.
When Alexis came forward and reported what happened to her, was she actually protected? Did the school know? why was she left in the same building as her alleged attacker with no legal barrier between them?
Could any of this have been prevented? 💔
