Selling a home that’s part of an estate is rarely a typical real estate transaction.

In Phoenix and Scottsdale, many families find themselves managing the sale of a property while also navigating the responsibilities of settling a loved one’s estate. It can involve coordinating with attorneys, title companies, family members in different places, and making sure everything is handled correctly along the way.

Real estate decisions during divorce are rarely simple.

Over the years, I’ve worked with many homeowners in Phoenix and Scottsdale who suddenly find themselves needing to make big property decisions in the middle of an already stressful life transition.

One of the biggest misconceptions I see is that selling the home immediately is the only option. In reality, there are often multiple paths forward — and the right choice depends on timing, equity, financial goals, and the overall legal strategy.
