We wanted to take a moment to introduce the Burton family and share a little more about the new faces behind Ventosa.
Allison Burton serves as the CEO of Ventosa K9 and oversees the business and administrative operations. From scheduling handler courses, seminars, and certifications to customer communication, social media, and everything in between, Allison is the person you'll most likely be speaking with when you reach out to Ventosa. With years of experience in business ownership, management, and operations, Allison brings a strong foundation in leadership and customer service. Her passion for animals began long before Ventosa K9. Growing up competing with American Quarter Horses at the national level, earning multiple world championship titles, animals have always been a major part of her life. Combining that lifelong passion with her business experience has made her role at Ventosa especially rewarding.
Bricesen Burton serves as one of our trainers here at Ventosa, while continuing to work full-time as a K9 Police Officer. With eight years of law enforcement experience, Bricesen brings firsthand knowledge of K9 deployments, tactical operations, narcotics enforcement, tracking, and apprehension work. Bricesen is actually a Ventosa K9 graduate himself. He's been the handler on the other end of the leash, putting in the hours, learning the techniques, and taking that training back to the street. Today, he has the opportunity to help prepare other handlers and their K9 partners for the same real-world situations he encounters throughout his career. He understands firsthand that quality training is not optional in this profession. When these teams return to duty, lives can depend on it.
And last but not least - Gunner Burton!!! The youngest member of the Ventosa team! At just 2 years old, he's already learning the ropes of dog training. He's growing up surrounded by working dogs, handlers, and trainers, and there's something pretty special about watching the next generation develop a love for this profession.
โWe truly live and breathe Ventosa K9. This business is not simply a job or something that ends when the workday is over. It's early mornings, late nights, weekends, sacrifices, and countless hours spent doing whatever it takes to keep things moving forward. It's constantly looking for ways to improve, solve problems, and build something that everyone involved can be proud of. Our hearts are fully invested in Ventosa K9, we genuinely believe in what this business stands for and what it can accomplish. Our responsibility goes far beyond training a dog or completing a six-week course. It's about preparing dependable K9 teams for real-world deployments, building confidence in handlers, and providing training that holds up when it matters most. The work done on the training field can directly impact the safety of officers, their K9 partners, and the communities they serve.โ
Ventosa K9 has a long-standing history in the working dog industry, and the Burton family has tremendous respect for the foundation and reputation built over the years. Their commitment is to honor that history while continuing to strengthen the training, operations, relationships, and overall standard of service that Ventosa provides. A reputation isn't built through words or promises. It's built through hard work, consistency, accountability, and the results delivered.
None of this would be possible without the incredible team of trainers, the law enforcement agencies and handlers who put their trust in Ventosa, and the customers, friends, and families who continue to support this business. There is an incredible amount of heart behind the work being done here, and the goal has never been simply to keep Ventosa K9 going. It's to continue building something better, stronger, and worthy of the trust placed in it.
