You need a dash camera in your vehicle ASAP!

The quality of police "investigation" work that I've witnessed recently is shockingly bad. You cannot rely on the police to accurately determine what happened in a crash, who was at fault, or even to preserve basic information like witness names and phone numbers.

I recommend that you have a dash camera professionally installed so that it is always on and the wires are not a distraction inside your vehicle.

I recommend Audio Express in Floresville for dash camera purchase and installation.

PSA: please, please, please buy all of the Un/Under Insured Motorist (UM/UIM) coverage that you can. Specifically for bodily injury. I recommend a MINIMUM of $100k per person but preferably even higher.

We have seen a dramatic rise in hit and run wrecks as well as drivers with no insurance.

In one of these scenarios, if you don't have UM/UIM coverage, there is likely nothing that can be done to help you with your injury claim.

I am happy to see that allegations like these are being taken seriously.

When I was in law school, I worked on a case trying to recover money that had been taken from an elderly woman by a scam artist "contractor."

Unfortunately, our civil justice system is not that effective when it comes to recovering money from people who have nothing to recover from.

The criminal justice system is definitely better equipped to seek justice in situations like these.

A San Antonio contractor is behind bars and facing three felony charges of theft of more than $2,500 but less than $30,000.

I read this news story and it makes me shake my head. If you've received paperwork that says you have been sued, please contact an attorney immediately and get some advice.

I have been contacted more than once by people who received paperwork and "thought it was a scam" or "thought it was the wrong person" and then a default gets taken against them and then they're in the position of trying to undo something. It's much easier to defend a case as compared to trying to reverse a default judgment.

I am always happy to and always do my best to point people in the right direction when they call my office.
